This summer, Keesal, Young & Logan is joining with Juniper Networks, NetApp, Walmart, Liberty Mutual, Chronicle (an Alphabet/Google company), LexCheck, and Southern University Law Center to create and provide a first-of-its-kind, online educational experience for the next generation of lawyers covering cutting-edge skills, innovations in the law, and the future of the profession.

In its inaugural year, the webinar series, dubbed the “Tipping the Scales,” will feature experts and thought leaders on a wide range of topics, such as social media and networking, diversity and inclusion, career management, e-discovery, speaking skills, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and legal process automation. These topics were carefully selected with the goal of equipping law students for broader job opportunities through participation in master classes on new and emerging trends.

In addition to law students, participants will include corporate general counsel, legal operations executives, law firm partners, in-house attorneys, law school deans and career counselors, and business school attendees. There are already more than 1,000 participants signed up for the series.

The summer series started as an adjunct of a diversity scholar internship program hosted by Community of Legal Interns (CLI) and Southern University Law Center (SULC), an HBCU, which places students in prestigious companies and law firms to gain exposure to and hands-on experience in the legal profession.

The one-hour webinars will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. PDT between June 4 and August 1, 2019. (Some of the sessions will be recorded for viewing at a later time.) This program is free of charge and open to everyone globally. You can still sign up at ourcli.com.
