Anchorage

Life’s a little different up here. So is our approach to practicing law.

What matters to Alaskans is, much like the state itself, worth protecting.

Keesal, Young & Logan’s Alaska attorneys work closely with a broad mix of clients, including shipping, oil and gas, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, insurance, municipalities, and securities.

Anchorage is a city surrounded by the majestic beauty of Alaska. The city is located at the western base of the Chugach Mountains and along the eastern shore of Cook Inlet. On a clear day, from downtown Anchorage it is possible to see Denali (fka Mount McKinley), the tallest mountain in North America. In the summer you can catch salmon from Ship Creek, located just outside the Anchorage office of Keesal, Young & Logan. Throughout the year the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, which traverses the city, offers breathtaking views of Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range as well as a path for walking, jogging, biking, or cross-country skiing.

We help our clients see the light at the end of the winter.

As Alaska’s largest city and home to approximately 40% of the state’s population, nearly 300,000 people, Anchorage serves as Alaska’s transportation hub and center of commerce.

The city’s economic base includes oil and gas industries, commercial fishing, transportation, tourism, real estate, finance, and communications. In addition, several government agencies are headquartered in Anchorage. The city encompasses 1,955 square miles and averages approximately 16 inches of precipitation and 70 inches of snowfall per year.

Keesal, Young & Logan’s Anchorage attorneys work closely with a broad mix of clients—and they enjoy fishing right outside of our downtown office.

The Aurora Borealis or “Northern Lights” are frequently visible during the winter. While it is true that daylight is at a minimum during the winter, by February, Anchorage averages ten hours of daylight per day, and on June 21, we have over eighteen hours of daylight.
