Keesal, Young & Logan is proud to report that the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) has recognized the firm with a 2011 Distinguished Peer Award for outstanding achievements in the category “User Support Services Champion.”  ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Award program recognizes premiership and provides a forum for peer-nominated, peer-judged innovations in technology.  This was the second year of the annual awards program, and ILTA was pleased with the number and diversity of nominees across several categories.

Keesal, Young & Logan’s “KYL Keeps You Learning” project was singled out as unique for the program’s ongoing commitment from the firm’s Partners, outstanding peer-to-peer support and participation from the staff, and the successful incubation of a community of experts, expanding and recognizing technology expertise beyond the core IT and Litigation Support professionals.  The firm’s unique approach to fostering a culture of learning and technological advancement has been featured in American Lawyer Media’s Law Journal Newsletters and on law.com.

For over three decades, ILTA members have faced challenges in their law firms and law departments, and they’ve shared their struggles and successes along the way. ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards program honors the achievements of those ILTA members who are making technology work for the legal profession. The program recognizes those who have delivered great business value and transformational impact through their innovations and implementations, or have been champions in specific areas of focus for their organizations.

Recipients were presented their awards during the inaugural award ceremony on Aug. 25, in conjunction with ILTA’s annual educational conference, ILTA 2011, held in Nashville, Tenn.

“On behalf of ILTA, I’d like to congratulate this year’s Distinguished Peer Award winners,” said Randi Mayes, executive director of ILTA. “We are proud to recognize exceptional technology projects and the champions of those projects, and I applaud and celebrate our winners for sharing their successes.”
