Keesal, Young & Logan is proud to announce that shareholder Julie Taylor was elected last week to serve a two-year term as the President of the Board of the California Bar Foundation, beginning in January. As the center of philanthropy for California’s legal community, it is the California Bar Association’s fundamental mission to build a better, more diverse, more inclusive and more accessible legal profession.
KYL is one of three founding sponsors of the California Bar Foundation’s diversity scholarship program, now in its 7th year. The Foundation’s annual scholarship program offers individual scholarships to students of underrepresented social, ethnic and economic backgrounds.
As in the past six years, KYL underwrote a scholarship this year for a very impressive scholar, Ebony Randolph. Ebony, who grew up in the foster care system, plans to use her law degree to “fight on behalf of others who would otherwise fall through the cracks of our social support system.”
