Sarah
Sangmeister joined Keesal, Young & Logan in
1996 and is a shareholder in its
Long Beach office. Ms. Sangmeister's primary practice area is in corporate transactional matters with
an emphasis on general counsel services for middle market companies including corporate
governance, securities compliance,
employment, real estate and trademark matters. Ms. Sangmeister provides general corporate counseling to a number of clients regarding
the formation of business entities, commercial transactions, licensing, mergers,
acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate issues. She has represented
corporate clients in real estate transactions including commercial leasing and the
acquisition or sale of real estate. Ms. Sangmeister has assisted numerous
clients with employment advisory issues ranging from employment contracts and drafting
of employee handbooks to termination issues. She also advises corporate clients
on trademark and copyright issues relating to prosecution of trademark applications
and potential infringement.
Ms. Sangmeister obtained her B.S. degree from Northwestern University in 1991. She obtained her J.D. in 1994 from the Pepperdine University
School of Law. Ms. Sangmeister was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Honor Board while at Pepperdine. Ms. Sangmeister was admitted to the California Bar in 1994. Upon graduation from Pepperdine, Ms. Sangmeister worked
with a real estate development firm on leasing and real estate issues.
Ms. Sangmeister is active in the Long Beach community. She currently serves as a Commissioner on the Long Beach Parks and Recreation Commission. She is also a former member of the Long Beach Corporation for the Arts board of directors and executive committee.
