Philip Lempriere is a shareholder and member of the firm's Seattle office. Mr. Lempriere graduated from the
United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1984 with a B.S. in nautical science and marine transportation.
He served as both a deck cadet and third officer aboard U.S. flag tankers.
He earned a J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco
in 1989 and is a member
of the Washington, Oregon, Alaska & California State Bars.
Mr. Lempriere's maritime
practice includes litigation of
all traditional maritime claims,
including personal injury,
cargo loss and damage, and vessel casualties such as
collisions, fires and oil spills.
He has been the primary on-scene attorney in numerous oil pollution incidents, and
is a member of our emergency response team in larger scale emergencies.
In addition to his maritime practice,
Mr. Lempriere regularly handles employment disputes on behalf of employers.
Mr. Lempriere has defended virtually every type of employment claim under both state and federal laws, including discrimination (e.g., age, gender, disability), sexual
harassment and wage and hour
claims, as well as labor matters pending before the NLRB.
Mr. Lempriere resides in Seattle with his wife Helen and their two very
active boys, JP and Gus. Mr. Lempriere is on the board of directors
of the Northwest Burn Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to
prevent burns and assist burn survivors
and their families.
