Jim Kuhne is an associate with Keesal, Young and Logan in its Long Beach office. Since joining the firm in 2007, Mr. Kuhne's practice has focused primarily on civil litigation matters for clients in the maritime industry, as well as arbitration and mediation of securities-related issues and disputes.
Mr. Kuhne has a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Connecticut, and received his legal education at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he graduated With Distinction in 2007. While at McGeorge, Mr. Kuhne was named to the Dean's List in each of his three years there, thus earning membership in the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society. In addition to serving as Associate Comment Editor for the Pacific McGeorge Global Business and Development Law Journal, Mr. Kuhne was an active member of the school's Mock Trial Team and was named Top Advocate at the 2006 National Ethics Mock Trial Competition.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Kuhne spent nine years as a commercial real estate agent with a large multi-national real estate brokerage. During his real estate career, Mr. Kuhne negotiated and marketed nearly $250 million of commercial real estate transactions on behalf of institutional owners, users, and developers of industrial property, including PS Business Parks, The RREEF Funds, and General Motors Corporation, as well as countless individual clients.
Mr. Kuhne is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in California, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
