Julie Kole is a shareholder with Keesal, Young & Logan in its San Francisco office. Ms. Kole received her B.A. degree in psychology from Stanford University in 1995, and graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1999 with a J.D./M.B.A. degree. While in college, Ms. Kole was a member of the Stanford University swimming team, which won four NCAA Division I championships. In addition, she was an alternate for the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team.
Ms. Kole's practice focuses on securities and employment litigation, and she has defended financial services firms, with particular emphasis on securities brokers, in judicial and arbitration proceedings involving claims for suitability, churning, fraud, negligence, violation of federal and state securities laws, breach of contract, violation of wage laws and wrongful termination. She has handled numerous cases filed in state and federal court, including class and mass actions, and before securities arbitration forums such as the FINRA, NASD, NYSE, PCX, JAMS and AAA. Ms. Kole has arbitrated more than 30 cases to award and she has also argued before the California Courts of Appeal. Ms. Kole also advises clients regarding compliance with employment laws, rules and regulations. In addition, she has represented institutions and individuals in connection with regulatory enforcement investigations. Ms. Kole was admitted to the California Bar in 1999.
