John Kimmerlein is an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in its Seattle office.
Mr. Kimmerlein received a B.S. degree, with honors, in nautical science and marine
transportation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point, New
York, in 1983. He served on active duty over three years with the U.S. Navy and
subsequently served as Relief Master, Chief Mate, and Second Mate aboard various
U.S. flag vessels. Mr. Kimmerlein holds an unlimited Master's License issued by the
U.S. Coast Guard. He received his J.D. degree from Boston University in
1995, and is a member of the Oregon and Washington Bars.
Mr. Kimmerlein's practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on maritime
and products liability matters. Mr. Kimmerlein is a former chair of the Admiralty
section of the Oregon State Bar and has written and presented continuing legal education
articles regarding both maritime and products liability matters.
