Joanna Jagoda is an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in ita Long Beach office.
Since joining the firm in September 2003, Ms. Jagoda has been involved in defense
of brokerage firms and brokers in cases involving customer complaints. She
has worked on dozens of cases filed before securities arbitration forums, such as
the NASD, the NYSE, the PCX as well as the AAA.
Ms. Jagoda also has defended employers in state courts, in arbitration and before state
agencies in employment cases involving discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation,
harassment, breach of contract, indemnification and various wage claims. Ms
Jagoda regularly advises clients regarding compliance with employment laws, rules
and regulations, harassment and discrimination investigations, hiring and termination
issues, privacy issues, strategies for dealing with "problem" employees and the
preparation of employment manuals and various agreements.
Ms. Jagoda received her B.S. degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000 and obtained her J.D. from Pepperdine
University School of Law in 2003,
where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Jagoda was
a member of the Pepperdine Law Review, where she also was its Literary and Citation Editor. Prior to joining Keesal, Young & Logan, Ms. Jagoda was a judicial
extern for the Honorable Ronald S. W. Lew in the United States District Court for
the Central District of
California. Ms. Jagoda has been a member of the California Bar since 2003.
