Glen Piper is an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in its Long
Beach office, where his practice covers a variety of business litigation, including
maritime, financial services and insurance. Mr. Piper has defended ship owners, marine
terminal operators, securities broker-dealers and corporations in various arbitration
forums, state and federal courts. He has prosecuted and defended cases involving
claims for breach of contract, personal injury, wrongful death, and white-collar
crime, as well as a variety of other business-related torts. In addition,
Mr. Piper has conducted casualty investigations relating to personal
injury, wrongful death, cargo damage, oil pollution and criminal environmental claims.
Mr. Piper received his B.A. degree in political science, with a minor
in history,
from the University of California, Davis in 1996. He earned
his J.D., with
Great Distinction, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge
School of Law, in 1999, where he received American Jurisprudence Awards in Business
Associations, Professional Responsibility, Advanced Torts, Appellate Advocacy, and
Moot Court recognition for Best Appellee's Brief and Outstanding Performance for
Written and Oral Advocacy Skills. He is a member of The Order of the Coif
and was voted a 2004 "Rising Star of Southern California Law" by Law & Politics Magazine.
Mr. Piper was admitted to the California Bar in 1999.
