Chris Stecher is an associate with Keesal, Young & Logan in its San Francisco office. Since joining Keesal, Young & Logan as an associate in September 2001, Mr. Stecher has worked in most of the firm's practice areas, including securities, employment, maritime and other areas of civil litigation. Mr. Stecher also regularly advises employers regarding compliance with employment laws, particularly with respect to wages and hours, employee benefits and discrimination laws.
Mr. Stecher has had extensive involvement in the defense of brokerage firms and brokers in cases involving customer complaints. He has worked on dozens of cases filed before securities arbitration forums, such as the NASD, the NYSE and the PCX (now combined into one forum, FINRA). He also has defended employers in state and federal courts, in arbitration and before state agencies in employment cases involving personal injury, discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, breach of contract, indemnification and various wage and hour claims, including class action claims.
Mr. Stecher graduated from Stanford University in 1996 with a B.A. degree in public policy and graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2001. Mr. Stecher was admitted to the California Bar in 2001. Mr. Stecher is a member of San Francisco's St. Thomas More Society and sits on the Alumni Board for St. Ignatius College Prep. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and children.
