Practice Areas: Securities
Cara Meredith is a
shareholder with Keesal, Young & Logan in its San Francisco office. Although
Ms. Meredith has practiced law in a variety of areas, including mortgage banking,
maritime and insurance defense, she specializes in securities litigation, primarily
defending brokerage firms and investment advisors in matters involving customer-related
claims such as suitability, churning, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, failure
to supervise and securities fraud. Ms. Meredith has handled matters filed
with the NASD, the NYSE
and other arbitration forums, such as JAMS, in addition to appearing in state and
federal courts.
Ms. Meredith graduated with honors from the
University of California, Santa Barbara, where she obtained a degree in English,
and subsequently graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1994.
While in law school, Ms. Meredith served as a Technical Editor for the Santa Clara
Law Review in which she published an article analyzing issues in international law.
