Atlantis Tillman Langowski is an associate with Keesal, Young
& Logan in its
San Francisco office. Ms. Langowski's practice focuses
on a variety of commercial litigation including maritime and energy, employment
and financial services.
Ms. Langowski has had extensive experience representing clients in the maritime,
energy and manufacturing industries. In particular, she has defended companies
in numerous cases involving allegations of violations of state and federal environmental
laws. She also has defended traditional maritime claims involving personal injury, cargo loss and damage, and vessel casualties such as collisions. In
addition, Ms. Langowski has managed a docket of more than a hundred products liability cases for clients in the maritime and manufacturing industries. Ms. Langowski
regularly counsels clients in these industries regarding compliance with state and
federal laws concerning environmental,
safety and health issues.
In her employment practice, Ms. Langowski also has had significant experience defending companies and executives in judicial, arbitration and administrative proceedings involving discrimination,
wrongful termination, retaliation, violation of federal
and state leave laws and breach of contract. She routinely counsels clients
regarding compliance with employment laws, rules and regulations.
In addition to her maritime and employment practices, Ms. Langowski
has defended financial services companies and executives with particular emphasis on securities
brokers. She has handled dozens of such cases filed before
the NASD, NYSE and PCX.
Ms. Langowski received her undergraduate degree in journalism
from
Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 1992, where she served as Editor in Chief of the University's daily newspaper. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Ms. Langowski worked in marketing and communications
for two fortune 500 companies in the energy industry. In 1999 she graduated cum
laude from the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school,
Ms. Langowski served as Articles Editor of the Houston Law Review and as an intern to Honorable Judge
David Hittner, United States Federal District Court (Southern District of Texas). Ms. Langowski is admitted to practice in both Texas and California.
