KYL purchases building in historic Jackson Square area as new home for its San Francisco office

Keesal, Young & Logan has purchased a building in the historic Jackson Square area as the new home for its San Francisco office. The building is well situated with excellent access to the firm's clients in San Francisco's financial district and the state and federal courts. The firm is in the process of refurbishing the 24,500 square foot, four story building and expects to move into the building in late March 2008. KYL decided to purchase the building after considering the impact of increasing rental rates on billing rates to clients. "By capping and controlling our occupancy costs, we are able to keep our hourly rates lower for our clients," said Peter Boutin, the Managing Partner of KYL's San Francisco office.

This is not the first time KYL has "thought outside the box" with respect to planning for the future. In 1993, at the depth of the Los Angeles real estate recession, the firm purchased a building in Long Beach. That office has been a wonderful home for the firm's flagship office and is frequently used to host charitable and philanthropic events, including the annual Boys and Girls Clubs luncheon. Among the luminaries who have visited that office for charitable and other events are former Presidents Clinton, Bush and Ford, former Prime Ministers Thatcher and Major, former Secretaries of State Kissinger and Albright, Senators Kennedy, Glenn, Bradley and Breaux, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and General Tommy Franks.
